Product Decription
A reed switch uses simple magnet interaction to open and close it's contacts. And they consume no power in their normally open state. Reed switches are hermetically sealed so they can exist or be used in almost any environment. reed switches comprise two ferromagnetic reeds placed with a gap in between and hermetically sealed in a glass tube. The glass tube is filled with inert gas to prevent the activation of the contacts. The surfaces of the reed contacts are plated with rhodium."

Product detail
A sub-miniature, normally open switch with a 14.00mm long x 2.28mm diameter (0.551" x 0.090") glass envelope and longer than standard, flexible, easily formed leads, capable of switching 200Vdc at 10W. Available sensitivity range of 10-30 AT. High insulation resistance of 1010 ohms minimum and low contact resistance of less than 100 milliohms. Ideally suited for signal switching applications. Also suitable for reed relays, security, metering, limit sensing, telecom, office equipment and household appliances.
